What is remote support?
Remote or online support is when we directly connect to your computer from our computer. There is no need to install any software or alter your computer in any way. However, you do need to make an appointment for online support.
How long does a typical service call take?
It usually takes 1 – 3 hours. There are situations where it may take longer. In almost all cases, it is necessary to check out the computer to determine what course of action is needed to fix the problem. Our regular hourly service rate is $90, with a minimum one-hour service call.
What information is needed to properly assess a computer problem?
Scot Fixes PCs provides the best computer support available. Send an email describing your computer problems as best you can, and we can get you back up and running as quick as possible. It would be most helpful, if you could include any error messages, stop codes, screen captures and computer behavior during the phone call or email that you send.
Do you charge for travel?
58 cents per mile (round trip) is charged for travel to your home or business.
What type of payment do you accept?
Cash or check.
Do you work on Apple computers?
Yes, but only systems prior to 2018.
